Police enforcing Islamic law in the city of Kano publicly destroyed some 240,000 bottles of beer on Wednesday, the latest move in a wider crackdown on behavior deemed “immoral” in the area.

The banned booze had been confiscated from trucks coming into the city in recent weeks, said officials from the Hisbah, the patrol tasked with enforcing the strict Islamic law, known as sharia.

New Zealand men have bigger things than Australians but tie equal with the British, a new study shows.

According to the data, British boys have an average erect man-hood length of 13.9 centimeters while the Australian average is 13.2 centimeters.

The study, by controversial scientist Richard Lynn, has collected data showing the average man-hood size of men from 113 countries which Lynn claims proves that racial stereotypes around man-hood size hold true.

While Koreans came bottom in the survey, measuring up at just 9.6 cm, the Republic of Congo came first with a healthy 18 centimeters.

Media reports show UK nationals are pleased to come in ahead of the French with 13.9 centimeters to their neighbors’ 13.4.

Lynn, British Professor of Psychology at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland, has previously released research identifying intelligence differences between men and women as well as racial intelligence gaps.

His study says that the findings confirm previous theories of “race differences in man-hood length” with African men the best endowed and Asian men the least.

However, Lynn’s evidence has been called into question, as the figures were taken from a non-academic website that collected data on man-hood length.

The findings were published in the journal Personality and Individual Difference.

Kidnappers have seized the 83-year-old father of a former Super Eagles player, Chikelue Iloenyosi, in Njikoka Local Government, Anambra State.

It was gathered that the victim, James Iloenyosi, was on his way back from the church on Monday when he was abducted by the assailants.

A family source said the kidnappers blocked Chikelue father’s car and then put him into another car before speeding off.

The academic war between Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State and its striking lecturers has deepened following a report that the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Femi Mimiko has commenced recruitment of new lecturers to replace the striking lecturers, having refused to pull out of the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities’ (ASUU) strike.

It was gathered by the jorunalists that Prof. Mimiko is determined to re-open the university on December 2, after he had ordered the students to resume this Monday for the commencement of the second term semester programme.

But the Chairman of ASUU in the institution, Dr. Busuyi Mekusi has described the move by the management as illegal.

He has claimed that the union would resist any action by the Vice-Chancellor to illegally recruit new workers to replace the striking lecturers.

Los Angeles, U.S. -- A police officer removed a sheet covering Whitney Houston's nakéd corpse and remarked, "Damn, she's still looking good, huh?" according to another officer at the scene.

The accusation against the Beverly Hills Police detective was revealed in a labor dispute filing made last week by Brian Weir, who was the senior patrol sergeant called to Houston's hotel room after she was found dead in a bathtub on February 11, 2012.

Weir claims the Beverly Hills police chief and others retaliated against him when he complained about the alleged actions of Det. Sgt. Terry Nutall at the death scene on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

"We will be looking into the allegations made in this claim, but we were not aware of any inappropriate behavior or comments made by any officer at the scene," Beverly Hills Police spokesman Lt. Lincoln Hoshino told CNN Wednesday.
